Melton Mowbry and Sherwood Forest

In the morning we set off from the Premier Inn over the hills to a town called Melton Mowbry and bought some pork pies and custard tarts from a shop called Ye Olde Pork Pie Shoppe.

I hope we can go back to Sherwood Forrest and spend a whole day there!

We should try and make a bow and arrow like Robin Hood used.

That sounds like a very fun filled day Dillon. I enjoyed looking at the photos, (especially the one of you and the laughing tree) and reading the facts about the great oak. I would have enjoyed your picnic too, as Melton Mowbray pies are one of my favourite things to eat, I also like custard tarts.

See you soon, love Grandma xx

You did really well finding out all of those facts about the Great Oak. I haven’t been to Sherwood Forest for a long time but your blog has made me want to go again 🙂 xxx
