My Amazing Trip to Scotland Part 1

Edinburgh

In the holidays, I went to Scotland for a week and first we went to Edinburgh and then to Aberdeen afterwards. When we arrived in Edinburgh, we went to Arthur’s Seat, which is an extinct volcano; Arthur’s Seat is 250.5 m (822 ft) high, and it was really hard work climbing up it, but was worth it because it had loads of amazing views all around.

The next day we went to Camera Obscura and World of Illusions, which was brilliant. It had loads of good views from the top and you can spy on people, give them electric shocks and play the stairs, when you walked on the stairs they played the piano and so much more. From the gift shop I got a Spy pen and a static science kit. My favourite thing there was a mirror maze, which was really tricky.

My Amazing Laser Quest Adventure

In the holidays we went to Laser Quest at the Trafford Centre and we had to pick a name, I chose Darth Vader. We had Laser Guns and  we wore packs which looked like vests they had targets on them. We got 10 points for zapping ⚡️ someone, if someone shot you, you would lose points.

Me zapping people

We were split into two teams. We were on the red team and had to shoot the blue team. There were ramps and hiding places everywhere. The red team (us) won with 8576 points. The game was half an hour long and we had to walk round in the dark shooting the blues whilst trying not to get shot ourselves.

After that I did some rock climbing, the wall kept moving and slanting so it was like climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, it was hard to keep up but I climbed 2.9 metres high.

Scratch – Ping Pong

I’ve made another Scratch project this time on my own with 0% help … that’s right it’s Ping Pong!

The aim of the game is to get the ball to bounce on the paddle and not touch the red line!

Move your mouse to move the paddle to bounce your target is to not touch the red line at the bottom of the backdrop.
You may stop the game when you wish.
Please post your scores!

Scratch – Boat Race

This is my latest Scratch project, Boat Race, This ay be my favourite and my last of Code Club to find out more about Scratch click here.

Use the mouse or the arrow keys to move if the boat has a black line in use the mouse but if it has a purple line use the keyboard.
There are 4 levels can you battle your way through the boat race.
Get to the yellow desert and go over the white arrows to speed up and avoid the wood which will send you back to the start and the green which will slow you down!

Thanks for playing!

Book Review – “Mum…” by Morty Sey and Scott Chegg

This is a good book because it’s funny. It rhymes for effect and has brilliant pictures.

This is the front cover

This is the front cover

The alarm doesn’t go off, so Mum is late, loads of disasters happen like: “Why aren’t you dressed yet?”, “She hasn’t got time to do her make-up!”, “She’s got nothing to wear and she can’t do a thing with her hair!” When they’re nearly ready to go, she has to change a nappy! Half way down the road she realises she had no phone and no purse, she can’t find a parking space! It’s no longer a school run but a race!!!

The book follows Mum as she tries to get ready for the school run, with a surprise twist at the end.

This is my favourite picture in the book  – My Mum NEVER looks like this 😉 :

Even though i’m a bit too old for this book now I still enjoyed it and I would recommend this book for EYFS and year 1 and 2.

I would rate this book 4 out of 5.
